“Overcoming poverty is not a gesture of charity. It is an act of justice” - N.Mandela

In India, about 50-75 Million people belong to the financially underprivileged community. Among them, many are widows, orphans, single mothers or single women over 30 years (who cannot pay the marriage-related costs).

This complete group is to a large extent condemned to an unimaginable life, to endure cruel privations, lawlessness with extreme poverty and lack of self-sustainability. The state and especially ecclesiastical programs can only give a negligible percentage of them a chance for training and professional qualifications.

We want to lend a helping hand to the above-mentioned community.

Because India is facing a shortage of nursing staff overall, the WHO has recommended the European countries not to appoint nurses from there to avoid a further nursing shortage in the donor country. But this shortage doesn’t count for each individual state in India. Therefore, within the last two years, the Indo-German Centre for Healthcare Sustainability, the WE CARE employer’s association, the German Care Academy and the Medizin Park Rhein-Ruhr AG have been communicating with the WHO, the German Government and single Indian state ministries to find out, whether they are facing a shortage or not.
